Prime Minister The Rt. Hon. Philip Davis has deemed the month of June World Environment Month for the Bahamas. World Environment Day is recognized annually, and this year was observed on June 11, 2022. The Ministry of the Environment and Natural Resources’ Department of Environmental Health Services (DEHS), commemorated World Environment Day with a FUN-RUN WALK on June 11, 2022. The walk commenced and concluded at Goodman’s Bay. DEHS’ Director Melony McKenzie said that the Fun-Run Walk was one of this month’s activities which was aimed to highlight the environment and to inspire us to live sustainably with the environment.
