BAMSI Donates Laptop: In the summer of 2022, the Bahamas Agriculture & Marine Science Institute (BAMSI) hosted its very first, week-long summer camp in New Providence using the classroom and grounds of Government High School as their base of operations. LJM Maritime Summer Campers learned about the marine environment and gained survival skills

NASSAU, The Bahamas — For two weeks, the LJM Maritime Academy hosted its free Maritime Summer Camp sponsored by Disney Cruise Line.  The Summer Camp guided 50 participants, 10 to 13 years, through marine conservation, maritime knowledge, fire prevention and safety, and other survival skills. Most of the Summer Camp was held on the Lowell J. Mortimer Maritime Cay campus at Arawak Cay which consists of functionally designed spaces outfitted with cutting-edge technology, equipment, and tools. Minister of Transport and Housing, the Hon. Minister Bowleg Visits Summer Camp at Tom ‘The Bird’ Grant Park

NASSAU, The Bahamas — Minister of Youth, Sports and Culture the Hon. Mario Bowleg interacts with participants, facilitators and stakeholders in one of his Ministry’s Summer Sports Camps, on July 14, 2022, at the Tom “The Bird” Grant Park, in Yellow Elder Gardens. Among those present included Permanent Secretary Cora Bain-Colebrooke; Head of the Division of Youth Sandena Neely; Department of Sports officers and staff; Dr. Carlos Reid; and camp coaches and assistants, including three Bahamian international volleyball players. Minister Bowleg also visited camps at the Yellow Elder Primary and H. O. Nash Junior High Schools, and the Edmund Moxey Community Centre that day. The Ministry has other on-going Culture, Sports and Youth Summer Camps throughout The Bahamas.
