First Distinguished Lecture Series Held, Celebrating Bahamas 49th Independence
NASSAU, The Bahamas – As part of The Bahamas 49th Independence Celebrations, under the theme ‘Proud to Be Bahamian’, the first in a series of Distinguished Lectures was held Tuesday, July 5, 2022. The lecture took place at the Harry C. Moore Library of the University of The Bahamas under the theme: “The Road to Independence”. Distinguished Guest Lecturers were Evangelist Rex Major, OBE, MM, and Rev. Dr. Philip Rahming, OBE, CB, JP. Both spoke about their experiences growing up pre-independence and, thereafter, in an independent Bahamas as of Independence Day, July 10, 1973.
