FREEPORT, Grand Bahama, the Bahamas — The Bahamas Government via the Ministry of Tourism is hoping to capitalize on the multi-billion-dollar Religious Tourism niche. Also known as “Faith Tourism,” this sector of tourism continues to grow, with tens of millions visiting religious sites around the world. Beginning Thursday, August 25th, Grand Bahama Island will host a four-day religious summit where approximately 200 participants will converge at Old Bahama Bay in West End for the first of what is anticipated to be an annual leadership summit.
