GRAND BAHAMA, The Bahamas – A number of activities are planned throughout the Family Islands during the month of March in commemoration of Local Government Month. In Grand Bahama, local practitioners kicked-off celebrations with a church service on Sunday. Members of the City of Freeport Council worshiped at New Life Community Church, Freeport, while Local Government members in West Grand Bahama gathered at Inspirational Global Ministries, Holmes Rock. Those in East Grand Bahama will worship at a later date. The three districts joined for a Flag Raising Ceremony today at the Administrator’s Office on the courtyard of the National Insurance Building with the Police Pop Band.
