National Cultural Commission

NASSAU, The Bahamas — The Bahamas National Cultural Commission announced its first ‘Cultural Awards’ ceremony for Friday, October 21, 2022 at historic Margaritaville Beach Resort, site of the former, famous ‘Drum Beat Club’ of upcoming honouree — John Berkley ‘Peanuts’ Taylor.   Chair of the commission, Carolyn Vogt-Evans said during a Press Briefing at the Office of the Prime Minister, October 14, 2022 — The Bahamas has a lot of work to do to catch-up with the world in honouring its national cultural icons, ambassadors and heroes, who worked, lifetimes, promoting The Bahamas and placing the nation on the map.  Also pictured is Minister of Youth, Sports and Culture the Hon.
