Ministry of Education 10th Annual Agriculture Science Exhibition

On Monday, March 27th, 2023, the Department of Education Agricultural Science Unit held its 10th Annual Agriculture Science Exhibition at the Ministry of Education and Technical and Vocational Training’s headquarters in the Ivy Dumont Building on University Drive. Education Officer for Agricultural Science Patrice Green informed that the Department has been observing the month of March 2023 as Agricultural Science Month under the theme “Progressing Towards Food Security”. Volcani International Partnerships Touts Bahamas’ Agriculture Potential

Nassau, Bahamas: The delegation of experts from Volcani International Partnerships (VIP) that visited The Bahamas recently says that the country has immense potential to increase food security. Digital Village To Be Developed In Eleuthera Nassau, Bahamas:  In an effort to assist with the transformation of the agri-food systems in The Bahamas, the Ministry of Agriculture, Marine Resources and Family Island Affairs and the Food Agriculture Organization (FAO) have signed an Agreement for the development of a Digital Territorial Village in Eleuthera. The village is a hub to create linkages between rural-urban communities for digital innovation ecosystems to drive the support of agribusiness in targeted communities on Eleuthera.  This will be accomplished through providing access to apps, e-commerce and other innovative technologies used to boost agriculture development.
