The Government Signs New Industrial Agreement with the BPSU

NASSAU, Bahamas –The Bahamas Government signed a new Industrial Agreement with the Bahamas Public Service Union (BPSU) valued at $40 million and it is retroactive from July 1, 2022 to June 30, 2025 on Monday, March 27, 2023 at the Office of the Prime Minister. The Hon. Pia Glover-Rolle, Minister of State for the Public Service said the government is very pleased with this agreement. Contract signed for the survey of lands on Acklins Island

NASSAU, The Bahamas — A contract was signed at the Ministry of Finance on Tuesday, 14th March 2023 for the survey of lands on Acklins Island in preparation for the installation of micro-grids on those islands. These micro-grids are a part of the government’s priority on climate change and renewable energy. The identified sites for the micro-grids are on or near existing Bahamas Power and Light power plants. The scope of works of these surveys considers the installation of various sizes of utility scale solar PV systems with battery energy storage and will provide an official inventory of the lands.
