NASSAU, The Bahamas — In commemoration of ‘Caribbean Wellness Day,’ the Ministry of Health and Wellness held a mini health fair and exhibition on the grounds of the Ministry on Friday, 9th September. Executive Director with responsibility for health and wellness, Dr. Bridgette Rolle, said that the event was being held in historic Bain and Grant’s town to promote healthy living and to bring more awareness about the dangers of non-communicable diseases such as diabetes, heart disease, high blood pressure and cancer, which are prevalent in the country.
