Disabled Community in Grand Bahama presented with care packages

GRAND BAHAMA, The Bahamas — The Royal Bahamas Police Force Grand Bahama and Northern Bahamas District joined forces with multi-government and non-government agencies to give back to the Disabled Community. First recruits of National Youth Guard begin training in Grand Bahama

Mario Bowleg welcomed the first group of recruits for the Bahamas National Youth Guard Program on Monday, January 16, 2023 at the Police Training College, congratulating the young adults on becoming pace-setters in what is expected to grow into a premier natural disaster preparedness program in the country. Plans for Majority Rule Day Celebrations in Grand Bahama

Steel Pan workshop held for music teachers of Grand Bahama

FREEPORT, Grand Bahama, The Bahamas — The Ministry of Youth, Sports and Culture is seeking to revive the culture of steel-panning in The Bahamas by hopefully reintroducing the creative art into the educational system. Under the auspices of the Bahamas Ministry of Culture, with the tutelage of Nevin Roach, of Barbados, music teachers throughout Grand Bahama were given a basic, yet in-depth, crash course on steel-panning.
