Organizers gear up for the Coconut Festival, Pelican Point, East Grand Bahama

PELICAN POINT, Grand Bahama, The Bahamas – Organizers are excited for the relaunch of the Pelican Point Coconut Festival after not having it for three years, said Minister for Grand Bahama, the Hon. During a press conference at the festival site, workmen were out in full force to ensure the site ready for the festival on Monday, July 11 – the final event of the Independence celebrations. ‘Changing of the Guard’ at Ministry of Tourism, Grand Bahama

FREEPORT, Grand Bahama, The Bahamas — The Ministry of Tourism in Grand Bahama will have a ‘changing of the guard’ soon as former general manager Steven Johnson will be transferred to Canada shortly to take up his appointment as Director, Ministry of Tourism, Investments and Aviation of Global Sales for Canada and China. During a courtesy call at the Ministry for Grand Bahama on Monday, July 4, Mr. Johnson introduced the newly appointed head of the Grand Bahama office, Ms. Sanique Culmer, to the Minister, the Hon. Full Orlando flight arrives to pomp and pageantry

FREEPORT, Grand Bahama – The return of the direct Bahamasair flight from Orlando to Grand Bahama arrived on Thursday, June 30, 2022 shortly after 11:00 a.m. to a water salute, smiling dignitaries and the pulsating sounds of Junkanoo.
