Construction of primary and high schools on target for two Family Islands says Education Minister

NASSAU, The Bahamas – Two Family Islands are on target for new schools beginning late 2022 or 2023. The Hon. Glenys Hanna-Martin, Minister of Education and Technical & Vocational Training informed the House of Assembly that funds have been budgeted for the construction of schools in Exuma and San Salvador. She made her contribution to the 2022-2023 Budget Debate, Monday, June 13. The budgeted cost for the construction of George Town Primary School and San Salvador High School is $16 Million each. The expected completion date for both institutions is 2024. The projects are a collaboration between the Ministry of Public Works and the Ministry of Education and Technical & Vocational Training.
