Dr. Newry

NASSAU, The Bahamas — A State-Recognized Funeral was held today for the late Dr. Eugene Newry, former diplomat, educator and neurosurgeon, at St. Francis Xavier Cathedral.  Interment was at the Catholic Cemetery, Tyler Street.  At conclusion of the ceremonies, the National Flag was presented to Mrs. Newry by Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Public Service, the Hon. Frederick Mitchell.
