DPM leads assessment delegation to Mayaguana

Acting Prime Minister Hon. I. Chester Cooper leads a delegation to Mayaguana today. Mr. Cooper, along with a team of government ministers will assess the damage left in the wake of Hurricane Fiona which passed near the island on Tuesday.  The Acting Prime Minister is accompanied by Hon. Obie Wilchcombe, Minister of Social Services & Urban Development, Hon. Clay Sweeting, Minister of Agriculture, Marine Resources and Family Island Affairs, Hon.  Myles Laroda, Minister of State in the Office of the Prime Minister, Basil McIntosh, MICAL Member of Parliament, Captain Stephen Russell, NEMA Director and officials of the Disaster Reconstruction Authority (DRA).

DPM & BMOTIA Minister elected as CTO Vice-Chairman

NASSAU, Bahamas, (15 September 2022) – The Hon. I. Chester Cooper, Deputy Prime Minister (DPM) and Minister of Tourism, Investments & Aviation, was elected to continue to serve as a vice chairman of the Caribbean Tourism Organization (CTO) during the Council of Ministers and Commissioners of Tourism Meetings this week. NASSAU, The Bahamas –Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Tourism, Investments & Aviation the Hon. Chester Cooper on September 11 attended the American Society of Travel Advisors (ASTA) Caribbean Showcase at Sandals Royal Bahamian, Cable Beach. Also at ASTA were Mrs. Cecilia Cooper; Senator the Hon. Randy Rolle, Global Relations Consultant, MOTIA; Reginald Saunders, Permanent Secretary, MOTIA; Dr. Kenneth Romer, Deputy Director General, MOTIA and other members of the MOTIA team.
