Bahamas gets more Pfizer Vaccine from United States Government

NASSAU, The Bahamas – The Bahamas received 23,760 doses of the Pfizer Vaccine from the United States government to augment the country’s vaccination programme in the continued fight against COVID-19.   A handover ceremony took place after the vaccines landed onboard IBC Airways at Lynden Pindling International Airport on Thursday, March 9, 2023. And for the first time, the bivalent vaccine is in The Bahamas; a total of 12,960 doses. It is authorized for use as single booster dose in children 6 months through 5 years of age.  The remaining 10,800 Pfizer vaccines are for adults. Bahamas represented at Regional Platform on Disaster Risk Reduction

NASSAU, The Bahamas– Minister of State in the Office of the Prime Minister with responsibility for Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR), the Hon. Myles K. LaRoda, led a disaster risk reduction team to the VIII Regional Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction in the Americas and the Caribbean (RP23). Bahamas to host CARPHA’s Annual Health Research Conference

NASSAU, The Bahamas – The Bahamas will host the Caribbean Public Health Agency’s (CARPHA) 67th Annual Health Research Conference – bringing together the brightest minds in the region’s largest research conclave. This was announced by the Hon. Dr. Michael Darville, Minister of Health and Wellness during an Official Media Launch press conference on Tuesday, February 21, 2023 at the ministry on Meeting Street. NASSAU, The Bahamas– Representatives from across government sectors Thursday (February 2) concluded the two-day Training and Information Sharing Workshop held at the Paul  H.
