NASSAU, The Bahamas — A State-Recognized Memorial Service was held the late Mr. George Myers, MB, Iconic Businessman (Retired) at Christ Church Cathedral, March 9, 2023.
The service was attended by the Governor General, His Excellency the Most Hon. Sir Cornelius A. Smith, Prime Minister and Minister of Finance the Hon. Philip Davis, and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Tourism, Investments and Aviation the Hon. Chester Cooper. Also in attendance: Former Governor General the Most Hon. Dame Marguerite Pindling; Former Prime Minister the Rt. Hon. Hubert Ingraham; and Former Prime Minister the Rt. Hon. Perry Christie.
Family, many friends, and colleagues from his extensive and highly successful business career paid their respects. The National Flag was presented to his wife, Mrs. Linda Myers.
