NEW YORK – Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Tourism, Investments and Aviation the Hon. Chester Cooper arrived in New York on Wednesday, September 28, 2022 to lead a delegation on a Bahamas Global Sales Mission, which aims to “Bring The Bahamas to You”. The Bahamas Consulate General for New York, Leroy F. Major was in attendance showing his support for the marketing initiatve. The DPM is being accompanied by Senator the Hon Randy Rolle, Advisor, Global Relations Consultation, MOTIA; Latia Duncombe, Acting Director-General, MOTIA; and Paul Strachan, Senior Director, MOTIA.

Cooper was First Family Island Student to Capture Junior Minister of Tourism Title NASSAU, Bahamas (15 Sept. 2022) – The Ministry of Tourism, Investments & Aviation (MOTIA) is saddened by the passing of 2014 Junior Minister Taliah A. Cooper, the first Family Island student to hold the title of Junior Minister of Tourism for The Bahamas.  Cooper passed away on 18 August and was laid to rest in Rock Sound, Eleuthera, this past Saturday, 10 September 2022. Cooper was born in picturesque Rock Sound, Eleuthera and attended Preston H. Albury High School.
