Southern Division “Santasquad” provides Christmas Eve gifts and cheer

NASSAU, The Bahamas — The Royal Bahamas Police Force Southern Division held its ‘Santasquad’ Community Christmas Initiative, “Christmas on Quakoo Street,” on Christmas Eve, December 24, 2022. During the initiative over 200 meals where distributed along with over 100 gifts that ranged from toys for toddlers to bicycles. The lucky recipients of bikes were spoken to, along with their parents, about road safety while utilizing them. The turnout was tremendous and the gesture was greatly appreciated.

Counselling Services available to the public through Ministry of National Security, Christian Council and other partners

NEMA/UNWFP conduct Emergency Response Equipment Workshop

NASSAU, The Bahamas — Officials of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) and the United Nations World Food Programme recently collaborated to conduct an Emergency Response Equipment Training Workshop for First Responders from the Royal Bahamas Defence Force and NEMA ’s In-house staff. Minister of National Security pays respects to the late Bishop Albert Hepburn

NASSAU, The Bahamas — Minister of National Security the Hon. Wayne Munroe paid his respects to the late Patriarch Bishop Albert Hepburn, July 20, 2022 at United Christian Cathedral, Flamingo Gardens.  A State-Recognized Funeral Service will be held at the church tomorrow morning.  Minister Munroe also brought greetings to the family members.

Female Inmates Library and Resource Center opened at the Bahamas Department of Correctional Services

NASSAU, The Bahamas – During his remarks at the Handing-Over Ceremony of the Office of Commissioner of Police of the Royal Bahamas Police Force (RBPF), on July 5, 2022, Prime Minister and Minister of Finance the Hon. Philip Davis noted that formal policing in The Bahamas went back to 1840, making the RBPF one of the longest-established institutions in the country. FREEPORT, Grand Bahama, The Bahamas — The Outgoing Commissioner of Police and Commissioner of Police designate on Grand Bahama, Friday, June 24, 2022 are pictured on a Farewell Tour.  Outgoing Commissioner Paul Rolle said during the tour, the newly appointed Commissioner of Police Mr. Clayton Fernander and Deputy Commissioner of Police Mr. Leamond Deleveaux were officially introduced to officers on Grand Bahama.  Commissioner Rolle said the group toured the various Police sites, stations and Departments on Grand Bahama and he thanked Police Officers for their service. Father’s Day Celebration for Fathers at the Bahamas Department of Correctional Services

NASSAU, The Bahamas — The International Men’s Day (IMD) group celebrated Father’s Day 2022 by recognizing fathers who are in prison on Father’s Day, June 19, at the Bahamas Department of Correctional Services.  The IMD is a group of men that focuses on promoting positive male role models and celebrating positive contributions made by men in the society.  This year’s focus is on men’s health and well-being.  International Men’s Day is celebrated on November 19 around the world. Minister of National Security the Hon. Wayne Munroe is pictured addressing the special ceremonies today.  Commissioner of Corrections (Actg.), Doan Cleare also gave remarks.
