Labour announces Job Fair for IHOP

NASSAU, The Bahamas — The Ministry  of Labour & Immigration, in conjunction with the Department of Labour and IHOP Bahamas (International House of Pancakes), will hold a Job Fair on Saturday, January 21, 2023 at the Department of Labour Headquarters on Rosetta Street between the hours of 9:00 am and 3:00 pm. Government and Customs & Immigration Union sign three-year industrial agreement

NASSAU, The Bahamas — The Customs and Immigration Union signed a three year industrial agreement with the government Tuesday, September 13, 2022 at the Office of the Prime Minister. Speaking on behalf of the government was the Hon. Thursday, 25 August 2022 – The Minister of Labour and Immigration the Honourable Keith R. Bell conducted his first official tour of the offices of the Department of Labour, the Department of Immigration and the National Training Agency in Exuma on Wednesday, August 24, 2022. NTA held graduation ceremony for Cohort 19 under the theme, ‘Investing in You’

NASSAU, The Bahamas — The National Training Agency (NTA) held a graduation ceremony for Cohort 19 Thursday, July 28, 2022 at its vocational activities and convention centre, Gladstone Road.  Held under the theme “Investing in You,” the ceremony was addressed by former Minister of Labour, D. Shane Gibson. Mr. Gibson told the graduates whatever your job, always be the best and work the hardest at it, because your attitude determines your altitude. Airport Authority union members on illegal strike, urged to ‘return to work, forthwith’

NASSAU, The Bahamas – Approximately 57 members of staff of the Airport Authority in New Providence and 170 in the Family Islands, who are members of the BPSU, did not report to their normal shift on Monday morning, July 18.  In a press conference the same morning at the Ministry of Labour, Minister of Labour and Immigration the Hon.
